IAF Su-30MKI Air Superiority Fighter
French President Francois Hollande will witness the flypast of Indian Air Force’s Su-30MKI fighter jet during the country's Republic Day celebrations, where he will be the Chief Guest.
The parade to be held on January 26 will have three Su-30 MKI aircraft flying in the last phase. A single Su-30 MKI aircraft will be pulling up vertically in front of the dais and carrying out the signature 'Vertical Charlie' rolls, the Indian MoD statement said.
Other two Sukhois will be part of the Globe formation with one C-17 aircraft.
Four Mi-17 V5 helicopters, three Mi-35 helicopters, three C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, five MiG-29 upgrade aircraft and five Jaguar aircraft will also be flying over Rajpath during the parade.
The theme for the IAF tableau is 'Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations by the Indian Air Force: In Service of the Nation and Beyond', PTI reported.
The design would showcase the IAF's role in Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Yemen and Nepal rescue and relief operations by displaying models of C-17, C-130 and Mi-17 V5 aircraft.
